I wouldn’t normally write anything about myself, but I just wanted to take a moment to reflect back on my incredible journey here at Solid Cactus on my 4 Year Anniversary. I made my transitional commute from the small town of Pittston to the thriving metropolis of Wilkes-Barre complete with the typical 1st day on the job bundle of nerves - I can still remember what I wore that day! I was greeted by Cathy at the front desk of an office smaller than the size of the sales area now (hard to believe I know), endless Mountain Dew, vibrant maroon cubicles, and my very own nameplate!!! The only thing I ever had with my name on it was a grocery store name tag labeled with one of those hand-held label writers - what are they called again? After completing the necessary paperwork, 20 minutes later…I was handed a thick booklet which contained a listing of items and descriptions that contained everything from Breadcrumbs (the only Breadcrunbs I knew of were located in Aisle 5 above the Spaghetti) to Yahoo! Store Redesign, an even thicker book that outlined the steps of creating your own store and a login to a CRM system and I was asked to just start reading and learning everything! Reading and learning, learning and reading is what I did in addition to endless scheduling, continuous call backs, rigorous proposal creation and mad CRM Data Quality (my favorite)…and what started as a couple thrived into a full-fledged family. I am so proud of everything we have accomplished. There has been so many wonderful memories along the way and so many great mentors as well. I just want to thank my team for honoring me today and really making me feel appreciated (trying to hold back the tears) thank you for sharing my reflection of a wonderful 4 years!
